About Us
Our Story
Kingsbury and Veitch Construction is a Wellington based well-established construction company, comprising of a competent team of builders.
What sets us apart from other companies is that we understand and strive to achieve the architects design intent, from paper to the built form. We believe in working closely to the design specifications and putting emphasis on good working relationships to produce a great end result.
We see ourselves specialising in architectural work, big or small, so would therefore welcome the opportunity to price any such work that may be available.
Two projects we are particularly proud of are the Breaker Bay house, which won House of the Year over 1 Million, and the Ohariu Valley house, which won House of the Year over 2 Million. While these houses were built under contract with another company, we took ownership of them and crafted them as if they were our own.
We are Licenced Building Practitioners
Licenced Building Practitioners (LBPs), are specialists who have been assessed to be competent to carry out work essential to a residential building's structure or weathertightness. To meet the LBP requirements we must gain maintenance points through skills sessions and building based knowledge seminars.
We take great pride in constantly up-skilling our builders, and ourselves and believe that 'you' the client will be benefitted with a more competent workforce and thus a better quality project. The LBP also requires a personal guarantee, this means our name goes beside our work and we stand behind that work for 10 years.

Licensed BuilderDavid Veitch
Licensed BuilderDave has over 30 years construction experience and is a “time served” Carpenter. His skills are wide ranging, from home renovations to new homes, including sustainable as well as intricate architectural projects. He has worked on apartment blocks as well as numerous commercial structures over the years, including bridge building. His broad range of expertise and know-how speaks for itself.
Dave has worked on a number of high-end, award winning, architectural projects in Wellington in recent times and would be best described as a true craftsman who enjoys complicated construction challenges; he also takes great pride in meeting the client’s expectations as well as in the finished product.

AdministrationLouise Veitch
AdministrationLouise Veitch manages the bookkeeping and administration side of the business. With over 22 years of accounting experience she brings a strong knowledge and expertise into this role. Louise handles client and supplier relationships as well as working alongside David with co-ordination of pricing and tendering for various projects.
